April Balsamo Davis has been a professional freelance editor since 2019. She holds certifications in both copy editing and developmental editing through the EFA. Her current professional affiliations include the EFA – Editorial Freelancers Association, ACES – The Society for Editing, and NCRA – National Court Reporters Association.
April has edited multiple anthologies for INKD Publishing, including the award-winning Noncorporeal. Her primary focus is editing in the genres of fantasy, horror, YA, middle grade, and nonfiction. In 2025 two of her clients were recognized with President’s Awards by the Florida Authors and Publishers Association for books that she edited.
