J. F. Benedetto is an author, editor, and historian whose short fiction covers five different genres (mystery, historical, science fiction, adventure, & steampunk) and whose stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies from America to Australia — and now, the UK as well. He currently writes mystery stories for three different series: Trouble in Imperial China, The Fifth Precinct, and The Keleyat on Mars.
He is a writing mentor in the New York chapter of the Mystery Writers of America, spent four years as the Second Editor of the Triangulation speculative fiction anthology, and for some nine years now has been a contributing editor for American Mensa’s Calliope, a career summed up in his personal motto, Heus, laboro in eo (“Hey, I’m working on it”)
